My name is Carina Grossman, and my journey began at age 4 when a tick bite behind my ear changed the course of my life. Despite the bullseye rash, I didn’t receive adequate treatment, leading to years of unexplained health issues such as brain fog, chronic pain, and fatigue that left me isolated and struggling to keep up with other kids.
It wasn’t until years later that a Lyme-literate physician finally diagnosed me with Lyme, Babesia, Bartonella, and Relapsing Fever. Treatment brought energy back into my life, showing me the importance of awareness, early diagnosis, and community support. I founded The Bitten Project to help others find the support I needed during my own journey.
